It throbbed without mercy
Informing her of its desire
The vein expanded at the ache
Releasing a powerful surge of blood
Overwhelming the brain
Making all thoughts incoherent.
The taste of acidity congregated at her throat
The urge to expel was strong
She dashed to the nearest toilet
Gagged and ejected the contents
The evil that made her sick
The malevolence that threatened to conquer her.
The churning stopped
The evil was exorcised
The vein retracted back to normal
A dull ache remained
The ache dwindled into memory
She was no longer consumed.
