Hey little girl,
Yeah you with the sad smile,
Look like you’ve crawled for miles,
Like your chest could take no more sand,
And all you need is just one more blister,
I know baby, I know,
It was the sparkle and the glitter,
It captured your soul,
And from the little patched litter,
You stood striped,
I know honey,
I know that ache,
It seizes your heart,
And all you can become is that,
But hey pretty girl,
It’s ok to step away,
Keep your stripes and step away,
Pave your path just step away,
That sparkle and that glitter,
They glisten through your eyes,
Ever so bright.
Hold yourself tight,
You are where there is light,
Shut your pretty little eyes,
And follow that there your little light,
Step away, keep crawling,
1..2..3 times you may go a-falling…
But honey,
That little light of yours,
Best let it shine.
