Book Genre:   Thriller (Historical Elements)

Book Blurb

In a city where belief means everything, putting your faith in the wrong person can get you killed.

THE TROVE CHRONICLES
A Series for Fans of Archaeology Adventure, Alternative History Thrillers, and Treasure Hunt Mysteries

A myth-busting adventure series pitting patriarchy against buried history in artifact hunts that span continents, centuries, and lost civilizations. Meet the Arkana: a secret society of antiquarians devoted to unearthing the buried past of humanity. Continent by continent and dig site by dig site, they have amassed troves of evidence that overturn history as we know it. Follow their ongoing adventures in The Trove Chronicles.

Volume 1 – LUCIFER’S TRIANGLE
Arkana agents Cassie and Griffin are sent to Jordan for a standard retrieval mission. What could go wrong? When a colleague’s nephew is murdered, the teen’s death leads to a suicide bomb plot and a conspiracy that could plunge the Middle East into war for decades to come. The entire Arkana team springs into action to counter a threat unlike anything they’ve ever faced before. That’s because they’ll have to square off against a villain as devious as the devil himself, who wants nothing more than to see Jerusalem go up in flames.

My Thoughts on the book

I’m going to be honest; I didn’t want to do a book review, any book review when I got this book. It was nothing against the book but I didn’t think I’d have the time to read a book at this time. Still don’t.

You know, sometimes lives happens and you have so many things going on that you don’t have time to even pick up a book. This is one of these times. What I had envisioned was posting an excerpt of the book as I’ve been doing recently and calling it a day.

But when I read the blurb for this book, my curiosity was piqued.

I love books with strong female characters and this book promised to be one of them. The fact that it featured the Middle East was a bonus for me.

Faced paced, action packed this book gives everything it promised in the book blurb.

It has detail, it has suspense, it has action, it has excitement, it has a great plot line; what else could you ask for in thriller?

I especially love how the author hooks in you right from the start of the book-the story telling interwoven with the history of Jerusalem.

I love how the author brings the characters to life and introduces them to the reader. From Akeem to Cassie to Daniel, Lupe and the other characters, it’s hard not like their dialogues and characteristics.

Overall, this is a book I immensely loved reading and I look forward to reading the other books in the The Arkana Archaeology Mystery starting next month.

Sorry about the late reply. I don’t have a favorite book but many favorite authors including Jane Austen and H. Rider Haggard. Among contemporary authors, I like the Wolf by Wolf series by Ryan Graudin. I’ve listened to all of Clive Cussler’s Isaac Bell and Fargo Series books on audio, mainly for the history rather than the fisticuffs. So many books. So little time. Thanks for asking.
